The XIV International Society for Contemporary Music Festival took place in Barcelona in April 1936, just three months before the outbreak of the Spanish Civil War. This edition of the festival is best remembered for the posthumous world premiere of Alban Berg's Violin Concerto in its inaugural day. The International Society for Contemporary Music (ISCM) is a music organization that promotes contemporary classical music. ISCM was established in 1922, in Salzburg. Its core activity is the World Music Days Festival, held every year at a different location. The festival includes cutting edge productions of contemporary classical music. The World Music Days include a congress that serves as a meeting place between members of the organization. Membership in ISCM is organized through national sections that promote contemporary music in each country.

High Quality Content by WIKIPEDIA articles! The Park City International Music Festival is Utah's oldest classical music festival. Founded as the Deer Valley Music Festival in 1983, the Festival is centered around bringing renowned classical solo artists together to perform chamber music. In addition, the Park City Music Festival sometimes includes chamber orchestra performances by the Sonolumina Chamber Orchestra, live performances with silent film, and jazz concerts. For twelve years the Festival also included the Park City Young Artist Institute, a training ground for aspiring young artists from around the world. Young Artist Institute alumni have gone on to perform in professional chamber groups and orchestras and teach, as well as forming other chamber music festivals and series. For a number of years the Festival also included the BRAVO Program for beginning and intermediate young musicians. The Park City International Music Festival has also been know as the Park City & SLC Music Festival in recent years since it expanded to perform in the Salt Lake City area as well.

Please note that the content of this book primarily consists of articles available from Wikipedia or other free sources online. High Quality Content by WIKIPEDIA articles! The Prague Spring International Music Festival (Czech: Mezinárodní hudební festival Pražské jaro, commonly Czech: Pražské jaro, Prague Spring) is a permanent showcase for outstanding performing artists, symphony orchestras and chamber music ensembles of the world. The first festival was held under the patronage of Czechoslovak president Edvard Beneš, and its organizing committee was made up of important figures in Czech musical life. In that year, 1946, the Czech Philharmonic Orchestra was celebrating its fiftieth anniversary, and was therefore given the highest accolade: to appear in all the orchestral concerts. The project was initiated by Rafael Kubelík, chief conductor of the orchestra at the time. Such musicians as Karel Ančerl, Leonard Bernstein, Sir Adrian Boult, Rudolf Firkušný, Jaroslav Krombholc, Rafael Kubelík, Moura Lympany, Evgeny Mravinsky, Charles Münch, Ginette Neveu, Jarmila Novotná, Lev Oborin, David Oistrakh, Ken-Ichiro Kobayashi and Jan Panenka have won enthusiastic ovations on the Prague Spring Festival stage.

Nine universities in the United States with the greatest number of international students and having an accredited music program through the National Association of Schools of Music (NASM) were selected. Survey research methodologies were used to identify the status of the international music students from East Asia in U.S. higher education institutions and to determine their attitudes toward their schools. Among East Asian international music students at US higher education institutions, the results indicated that the professor's reputation, scholarships, and the program's reputation were perceived as the most influential factors impacting the program choice; a good relationship with professors, good feedback from professors, and emotional stability were perceived as the most influential factors impacting academic success; and the professor's teaching, the professor's expertise, and the improvement of musical skills were perceived as the most influential factors impacting students' satisfaction level. The most problematic issues reported were the language barrier and the cultural differences between their host and own countries. In addition, many of the East international music students in this study noted financial difficulties.
